Management of the economy: PDP carpets APC

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says the Nigerian economy under the watch of the APC led administration has collapsed

Speaking at the special convention organized by the party to elect its presidential candidate the National Chairman of the party, Dr Iyorcha Ayu accused the APC government of printing mere paper money and embarking on borrowing to pay salaries.

“So the return of the PDP will be daybreak. Nigerians have woken up from the anesthesia of false promises.

“They have seen the limit of propaganda. And they want a return to development which PDP represents”, he stressed.

He said the PDP would go on to win Osun and Ekiti elections on the road to 2023.

“our focus”, he explained, “is on 2023, but we seek retaking both Osun and Ekiti in the July elections as our low hanging fruits.

“The electoral triumphs from there will sustain our momentum, boost the morale of party members and amplify our notice to the overwhelmed APC that PDP is coming”, he pointed out.

Reiterating that Nigeria shall rise again, Ayu said to Nigerians, “Don’t lose hope. Don’t give up on Nigeria. PDP is coming to the rescue.”

Listing some of the achievements of his leadership, he said the party has been effectively repositioned and rebranded.

“Knowing the place of ideas, innovation and research in party administration and governance, one of the first things we did was to revive the intellectual arm of the party, that is, the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI)”, the chairman acknowledged.

“I am happy to announce that a repositioned PDI has been relocated to a serene and befitting place in Asokoro, and will commence earnest operations from there next month”, he added.

Earlier, presidential aspirants of the PDP rallied the crowd when they stepped into the arena to salute party members.
