Senator Ken Nnamani has withdrawn from the presidential race of the All Progressives Congress.
Nnamani’s exit comes in the wake of speculations that some aspirants may withdraw before voting begins.

It is not clear if his withdrawal is tied to the furor that is emanating as a result of the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu who has proclaimed Senator Lawan Ahmed as the consensus candidate of the party.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari, a prime stakeholder in the party has disowned Adamu publicly.
Nnamani’s decision to quit has come as a great shock to his supporters.
