Breaking: Residents ordered to stay indoors in Kagara

A 24-hour Curfew has just been imposed on Kagara, a settlement in Niger State as a result of growing insecurity.

Kagara, Headquarter of Rafi Local Government Area has  come under seige, following acts of banditry and insurgency.

The authorities announced the imposition of the curfew a few hours ago.

A travel advisory issued shortly after the curfew was put in place has urged commuters as well as other road users not to  pass through Kagara town.

They have equally been advised to avoid the use of the Ilorin- Mokwa- Kaduna Highway for now.

Most parts of Northern Nigeria are currently under threat, with security agencies under direct instructions from the Presidency to put down acts of insurrection.
