Anglicans honour Nwuke despite Wike’s unfounded claims
The Anglican Church in Etcheland has admited Chief Ogbonna Nwuke, a former Commissioner of Information and member of the House of Representatives into its Diocesan Hall of Fame.
The induction which took place at the St. Mathias Cathedral on Sunday was part of activities to mark this year’s Father’s Day.
Nwuke who was represented by Engineer Loveday Onwugbuta, CEO of Chux Manuel Nig Limited was presented with a Pathfinder Award by the church.
The church said in a citation while inducting Nwuke into the Hall of Fame that its award was in appreciation of his contributions to the church and society.
Responding on behalf of the Hall of Famer, Engineer Onwugbuta thanked the church for the honour.
He said Nwuke would continue to support the growth of the church and assured the congregation that the former lawmaker would act in partnership with other parishioners in providing windows for the new cathedral which is under construction.
Recall that Governor Nyesom Wike had recently tried to impeach the image of the renowned journalist and Spokesman of the APC when he purportedly made false claims over a road project.
But Sunday members of the Anglican Communion in Etche honoured the Prince, saying they were satisfied with his dance steps.
They acknowledged he has registered indelible marks in course of his career and commended him for being forthright and focused.
