Battle of the Judiciary: ‘Abe’s lawyers’ found in court
… Will Abe’s side file another suit?
The Port Harcourt Telegraph has just learnt that lawyers working with H.A Bello have been found within the premises of the Rivers State Judiciary.
It is not clear what their mission is at this time.
Bello who has been handling cases for Senator Magnus Abe’s political team is similarly representing litigants in the PDP who have dragged Prince Uche Secondus, National Chairman of the party to court.
A source who spoke to the Port Harcourt Telegraph from the judiciary this afternoon said, “I have spotted lawyers linked to Bello here. I don’t know if it is connected to tomorrow’s APC congress.”
Further inquiries carried out by this medium show that Bello’s point men may have come to court in connection with the matter entered against the PDP and Secondus.
Secondus has since moved to vacate orders which are sustaining his suspension from the party and asking him not to parade as the National Chairman of the PDP, according to what we have heard.
Journalists and lawyers are scanning the courts as the countdown to tomorrow’s Local Government Congress in the State begins.
The APC has a ruling from the Court of Appeal which says it is free to go ahead with the conduct of the congress.
How did 7 persons who trooped out to stop the Rivers APC from carrying on its exercise fail?
