Rivers people are today, Sunday 8th May 22, offering thanksgiving to the Lord, following his blessings and kindness over their State.

The special worship session which is ongoing  at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, Oruworukwo, is in praise of God’s intervention in favour of Rivers State in the fight with Imo State over 17 oil wells.

The State Governor Nyesom Wike has already taken the only lesson which was taken from the book of First Chronicles.

Quoting from the Bible, Wike remarked, “Yours O Lord, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; for all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head over all.

” But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, and of Your own we have given You.”
