Dan Ulasi, State Chairman of the PDP said on “Kakaaki the African Voice” broadcast on AIT Friday morning that given emergent facts on ground, it is now certain that Wike has sufficiently done enough to secure the confidence of most delegates who would be voting during the exercise.

Ulasi observed that the race on Saturday will be between Governor Wike and the immediate past presidential candidate of the party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The party leader expressed optimism that Wike would overcome the Atiku challenge and go ahead to win the presidential primaries.

Highlighting some of the qualities of the Governor, the party chairman said Wike is courageous, fearless and visionary.

According to Ulasi, Wike has demonstrated through his leadership of Rivers State that he has the capacity to strangulate some of the issues that are suffocating the country and creating instability.

His posture which suggests Anambra State delegates will be voting for Wike may explain why Peter Obi left a few days to the presidential primaries.

Ulasi said Igbo leaders would have to wait, saying this is not the opportune time for Igbos to pursue the presidency.

He said Igbo leaders have a responsibility to salvage their land and set an agenda for growth, saying it is only then that other Nigerians would take them seriously.
