Fubara sets out priorities

Rivers people are beginning to have a better understanding of the mission of Siminalayi Fubara , gubernatorial flagbearer of the PDP.
Speaking at Omagwa Tuesday Fubara who promised to turn ONELGA into a gas hub at the start of the PDP campaign said he would pay immense attention to health, education, security and the provision of additional infrastructure.
He noted that the Ikwerre people in previous elections had cast what he described as confidence votes in favour of the PDP.
Given the PDP’s performance in the last seven years, Fubara urged the Ikwerre people to rally behind the party of the Rivers people.
Fubara recalled that in 2015 the PDP came on a rescue mission to liberate the people of the State from a cruel administration and its abysmal neglect of the masses.
He also recalled how the previous administration under Governor Rotimi Amaechi failed to pay the salaries of civil servants for upwards of eight months and refused to lighten the burden it placed on the shoulders of retirees.
Sim pointed that the Wike administration has successfully secured the State and dealt with miscreants who have been troubling the Rivers people.

Saying that his “mission and commission” is to consolidate on the attainments of the New Rivers Vision, Fubara reiterated that the sustenance of health facilities, the promotion of education, the building of more access roads and the maintenance of peace and security would remain top priority under his watch.
“We are in an LGA that is significant to our struggle”, Sim observed, “in 2015 when we came here to ask for your support, this State and this LGA was calling for our help.”
“When we came we performed. Our performance”, Sim remarked “made you say that in 2019” the PDP would benefit from your support.
“You gave us what we call confidence vote. Now we are here again… We are here to tell you to have that faith that you have in us”, Fubara stressed.
