Verdict 23: PDP holds unto Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed declared winner
After yesterday’s loss of Sokoto State, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has retained its hold in Bauchi.
Results announced this morning by INEC show that the sitting Governor Bala Mohammed was returned to office for a second tenure by voters.
Mohammed of the PDP polled 535,280 votes to outpace other challenges.
Voter turn out in the State which had the highest level of PVC collection in the country was high. At least, over one million voters representing averagely 50% of the total number of registered voters took part.
