Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State cruises to victory at the Rivers Governorship Election Petition Tribunal. The judges threw the matter out the case filed by the Labour Party for lacking in merit.
Judgment Day, Abuja: The Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the case brought before it by the Rivers State chapter of the Labour Party.
The tribunal which delivered judgment today, Monday 2, 2023, threw the matter out on the ground that the petitioners, Mrs Beatrice Itubo, the Governorship candidate and the Labour Party could not prove the merit of their case.
It similarly affirmed that the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, based on evidence before it, won the election fairly and squarely.
