Daniel Bwala, former spokesperson for the Atiku Campaign Organisation who has been named a key media aide to the President by Nigeria’s Presidency has expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu.
Bwala late last night took to his official X handle to thank the nation’s number one citizen for an appointment that is already generating interest in media and political circles.
Expressing his appreciation to the President, Bwala wrote, “I want to express my profound gratitude to Mr President @officialABAT for the demonstration of confidence and trust by this appointment.”
He added, “I am indeed humbled and honored to be called to serve our dear nation under the esteemed leadership of a courageous C-in-C and father.”
Contrary to insinuations that Ajuri Ngelale has been kicked out of the President’s media team, a statement issued from the office of the Secretary to the Federal Government, George Akume suggested that the official spokesman has rather bagged additional responsibilities.
Ngelale was appointed Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action and secretary of the newly established 25-man committee to oversee Green Economic Initiatives put in place by the Federal Government.
“Chief Ngelale will retain his role as the Official Spokesperson of the President and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, while serving on the committee.”
“President Tinubu remains committed to achieving Nigeria’s green economy objectives on the path of a just energy transition while unlocking new investments in this critical sector that is central to the nation’s economic future,” the statement disclosed.
The 25-man saddled with the task of overseeing the green economy initiative is chaired by President Tinubu.
