Breaking: Diri Escapes From PDP, Declares For APC

Governor Douye Diri has finally escaped from the grip of the Peoples Democratic Party and joined forces with the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He was received into the APC family in Yenagoa on Monday by the Vice President, Kassim Shettima who was accompanied by notable party heavyweights, including the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio and the Minister of Petroleum (Oil) Senator Heineken Lokpobiri.

The Vice President lauded Diri for the good job that he is doing in Bayelsa, especially  in creating improved access by road which is connecting people and communities and changing the State’s riverine landscape

Describing Governor Diri as a progressive, Shettima announced that he is now the undisputed leader of the APC in the State in line with the party’s constitution.
