MEDIA CHAT: WIKE TO ADDRESS RIVERS PEOPLE DIRECTLY

• Moves chat from Abuja to Port Harcourt

Followers of the monthly media chat which features the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike and a panel of journalists drawn from select media organizations do not need to join major TV networks

For the first time, the media chat which appears to be targeted at the Rivers people would be broadcast live by radio stations and other life streaming platforms that are based in the State.

Among radio stations expected to transmit the chat live from their studios are Super FM, Nigeria Info, Today’s FM and Silverbird FM.

The internet is also expected to buzz as life streaming media organs like Ogoni TV take images of the Minister of the FCT who has reportedly transformed Abuja to internet buffs.

Radio is believed to have the power of enormous penetration and observers say Wike is seeking to reach out to much more people at the grassroots.

Studies show that some of the audience members in this category that do not have access to television sets are however ardent radio listeners.

Usually on the chat programme, the minister spices the activities of his ministry with politics.

Rivers people are waiting to hear what the leader of the Rainbow Coalition will say now that political parties and their candidates are preparing to hit the campaign trail.

Wike had said a few days ago that people have no choice but to join the ranks of the Coalition which has succeeded to field candidates on the platforms of major political parties.

What will Wike say? What will he say about the ADC? What will he say about the NDC? What will he even say about Amaechi? Will he turn his kinsman to a punching bag?
