Ikeja, VI on Standstill as President Tinubu Commissions Landmark Projects
By Our Staff Correspondent

Lagos motorists are facing a challenging Wednesday as President Bola Tinubu’s official visit to the commercial capital has triggered massive traffic gridlock.
The Lagos State Ministry of Transportation announced partial road closures across major corridors to facilitate the commissioning of several high-profile infrastructure projects.
Most of the congestion is centered around Ikeja, where the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge was expected to be inaugurated this morning. Traffic flow remains heavy on Allen Avenue, Maryland, and the Ojota axis.
The focus will shift later today to Victoria Island, specifically around Eko Hotel, where traffic is expected to peak between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Beyond infrastructure, the President is also scheduled to commission the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle on Thursday, which is expected to affect vehicular movement in the Olodi Apapa and Ajegunle areas.
