…Three-day Independence Weekend experience promises music, food, games and whiskey education
Port Harcourt will host its first Jameson Distillery experience from October 1 to 3, 2026, as the lifestyle event expands to the Rivers State capital after previous editions in Lagos and Abuja.
The three-day event, scheduled for the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, will feature live music, interactive games, creative showcases, food experiences and educational sessions on the heritage and craftsmanship of Jameson Irish Whiskey.
Organisers say the event is designed to combine Jameson’s Irish heritage with the culture, creativity and social energy of Port Harcourt.
Speaking ahead of the event, Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Nigeria, Evane Chenuet, said the company was excited to bring the experience to the Garden City for the first time.
“We are excited to bring Jameson Distillery to Port Harcourt for the first time,” Chenuet said.
“Over the years, we have seen how impactful shared experiences can be in bringing communities together, and we are looking forward to creating those moments here.
“From Irish whiskey discovery and food experiences to live entertainment and games, we’ve designed an experience that captures the spirit of Jameson while celebrating the energy that makes Port Harcourt special.”
The organisers are expected to announce the performing artistes, collaborations and other special attractions in the weeks leading to the event.
Registration has opened, while further information will be available through @JamesonNGR on social-media platforms.
Attendance is restricted to persons aged 18 and above.
