Register, obtain and secure your PVCs, Siminalayi Fubara urges Rivers people

The gubernatorial flagbearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Siminalayi Fubara has reiterated the need for Rivers people and those resident in the  State to register as voters.

Sim as he is popularly called said at a rally organised by the Grassroots Development Initiative, GDI, that he did not attend the event to talk politics.

He said his mission was rather to encourage the people to perform their civic duty as responsible stakeholders in the Rivers project.

The PDP governorship candidate urged the people of Port Harcourt  City Local Government Area  to register as voters, obtain their permanent voters cards and secure them in readiness  for the role that they will be expected to play in the advancement of the cause of democracy in the State and country.

The GDI led by Bright Amehule has been going round the State sensitising the people of the state on the need for more of them to obtain their PVCs.

Reports reaching our news desk say there has been a significant increase in the number of persons who are registering as voters in the State.


Over 400,000 additional voters in the State have registered since INEC allowed more time for people across the country to obtain their permanent voters cards.
