Rivers: APC loses 16 Assembly seats
The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has lost 16 House of Assembly seats.
In a ruling handed down Friday afternoon in Port Harcourt, a Federal High Court held that the emergence of the said candidates on the platform of the APC did not follow due process.
The Court accordingly disqualified them from taking part in the 2023 general elections.
Candidates disqualified by the federal court include those from Gokana, Khana, Tai, Eleme, Port Harcourt, Obio/Akpor, Etche and Ahoada East.
