Jonathan, Tinubu remember Yar’ Adua

Nigerians have been remembering a great scholar and one-time President of the country, Umaru Yar’ Adua.
Yar Adua whose administration took off on a sound and promising note died two years after he took the oath of office.
Former Vice Presi-dent Good-luck Jonathan who served as part of the Yar’ Adua administ-ration noted on Twitter, “On this day thirteen years ago , our nation lost a great and selfless leader President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua . He was a man of peace , justice and accountability. ”
Jonathan who eventually ascended the throne as President further remarked, “We look back with appreciation to God for the gift his life and his impact in our nation. We’ll Never Forget You!”
“Today, as always, I remember my good friend and brother in the struggle for democracy and good governance in Nigeria, late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua”, President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola a Tinubu said in his tweet.
He recalled that Yar’ Adua “died on this day 13 years ago” while serving as the Commander-in-Chief
He described the late man as a brother, saying his contribution to the institutionalisation of good governance in Nigeria will never be forgotten.
