Developing Story: We Recorded More Gains In 2024 Than Losses – Gov Fubara
By PHC Telegraph

Governor Siminalayi Fubara yesterday night took a very hard and long look at the year 2024 and declared that his administration recorded more gains than losses.
Addressing Rivers people and other opinion leaders on Wednesday at the State Banquet organised by his administration to usher in the new year, Fubara said that although there were some losses in 2024, the State Government posted greater successes.
He said that apart from completing and commissioning numerous projects, the government succeeded in crushing the antics of the enemies of the State who were opposed to the transition of power at the grassroots level.
The Governor said the resolve of his government to conduct local government elections in the State has produced authentic chairmen and councillors.
He equally referred to the judicial order which frustrated attempts by enemies of the State to halt the transmission of funds from the centre to the State as a major victory that God gave to Rivers people in 2024.
The Governor acknowledged the Almighty Father for intervening in the affairs of the State and reiterated that he would not allow anyone, big or small, to toy with the interest and destiny of Rivers people.
He assured that government would resume its commissioning of completed projects next month, revealing that for the first time the Rivers State would operate an efficient fire fighting system in 2025.
Fubara emphasized that there is nothing that the present administration in the State would have achieved without the might hand of the Creator and the wholesome support of the Rivers people.
He pledged that he would continue to place a very high premium on the welfare of the people, stressing that putting the people first will remain the cornerstone of his tenure in office.
How Fubara’s Courage Brought Us Here – Danagogo

Earlier, the Secretary to the Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo described the year 2024 as a year of scintillating successes and remarkable victories.
He said that the uncommon courage and bravery displayed by Governor Siminalayi Fubara in 2024 altered the dynamics of the war and repositioned the State in the face of crisis.
Delivering a welcome address at the State Banquet, Danagogo noted that inspite of unwarranted distractions and needless in-fighting, the administration of Governor Fubara registered serious achievements that are changing the developmental landscape.
The SSG recalled that the Rivers helmsman embarked on the commissioning and flag-off of countless projects in the year under review.
He acknowledged that despite the great strides that have been recorded, the Rivers State under the courageous leadership of the governor would break new grounds in 2025.
