Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has asked Emma Powerful who speaks for the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to show his face in public.
Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State who appeared on ThisDay Live anchored by Reuben Abati on Sunday, urged AriseNews to get Emma Powerful to feature on a live programme on television to engage him face to face.
Kalu maintained that over 30,000 Igbos have been killed since the campaign by the separatists in the South East began while Igbo businesses have suffered setbacks as a result of incessant sit-at-home orders.
The former governor alleged were several Igbo families that are unhappy with the killing of their loved ones even they have refrained from speaking up publicly.
He said it was time to adopt a political solution in pursuing the freedom of Nnamdi Kanu; to pursue the quest for the creation of Biafra through constitutional means; and the resolution of the non inclusion of Igbos that Ndi Igbo allege through active political engagement.

Although the Senator did not specifically describe IPOB’s spokesman as a faceless person, Kalu said it would be appropriate to have Emma Powerful to confront him one on one, saying he has never heard about “autopilot” or operated a shadowy network with alleged criminals as IPOB alleged.
He however acknowledged that he set up Bakassi Boys to fight crime and keep Abia safe while serving as governor, saying he would do it again if faced with the same circumstances that led to the birth of the vigilante group.
Kalu dismissed claims that notable Igbo leaders close to President Bola Tinubu are fighting one another, saying there is no iota of truth in such divisive assertions.
