Developing story: Wike honours eminent Nigerians
Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike Saturday, honoured eminent and distinguished Nigerians in the Rivers capital, Port Harcourt Over 160 eminent persons, we have learnt, have been honoured in the Rivers State capital by Governor Nyesom Wike.
The awardees include professionals, technocrats, businessmen, traditional rulers, lawmakers, politicians, academicians, and others who have contributed or are contributing to the emancipation of the Rivers State and the country.
They were honoured Saturday at a well attended ceremony which lasted well into the night.
According to information reaching our news desk, recipients from Rivers State include the flagbearer of the PDP in Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, gubernatorial candidate of the SDP, Senator Magnus Abe, and candidate of Accord Party, Chief Dumo Lulu Briggs.
