Proceed with the dualization of the Ahoada Road to Omoku – Wike

Governor Nyesom Wike has ordered Julius Berger Nigeria Limited to proceed with the dualization of the Omoku end of the Ahoada-Omoku Road.
Governor Wike gave the order at Ahoada on Wednesday while commissioning the newly dualized road.

He disclosed that funds would be released at once to the company in line with his administration’s tradition to ensure that there is no variation in the cost of executing the project.
Governor Wike who reeled out quite a number of projects put in place in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State said the dualization of the Ahoada Road which leads to Omoku was part of ongoing efforts to provide viable infrastructure that will take the State to the next level.
Apparently referring to people who talk about vote buying, Wike remarked that in Rivers State, the provision of much needed facilities across the State is the only form of vote buying that he knows.
He thanked the people for their support and enjoined them to back the emergence of Siminalayi Fubara, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, whom he noted would continue with the good works initiated by his administration.
The Governor revealed that candidates of the PDP were tested and trusted, saying they would no doubt add to the delivery of dividends of democracy.
Reports reaching our news desk say that the order by the Governor asking Julius Berger to extend the dualization project to Omoku yesterday resulted to jubilation in the area.
Meanwhile, the commissioning of the Rumukwurusi – Eligbam Flyover will take place today.

According to an itinerary released by the Rivers State Government, invited guests are expected to be seated at 11am this morning for the ceremony.
Many across the country, the Port Harcourt Telegraph reports, are dazed by the volume of projects that are being built by the Wike administration.
The Presidency has publicly admitted this fact, with President Muhammadu Buhari decorating Governor Wike with a national honour in recognition of his stride in providing infrastructure for the good of the people of Rivers State.
