How Secondus ‘chopped’ money without work
In Ahoada, the people have been waiting for the performer. He was at Eneka Friday. Now, public attention has turned to Ahoada where Governor Nyesom Wike is expected to speak.
There are Rivers people expecting him to talk on State matters. There are others who desire to hear what Wike would say about Nigeria and the PDP.
Ahoada awaits Wike’s good works. Fresh projects are being conceived. Joy is being spread across the Rivers State where infrastructure is emerging at a near daily basis at a pace never before seen.
Friday, Wike revealed how Prince Uche Secondus allegedly acquired billions of naira belonging to the State without delivering any project put under his care.
Wike’s comments has become a major talking point as Nigerians marvel over what happens sometimes along the corridors of power.
Secondus the other day launched salvos against Wike. Wike has replied and many Nigerians are asking questions.

Is it possible that Secondus did all of this? Wike continues to flag off projects while more communities are looking forward to more projects.
Wike who spoke during the flag off of the Eneka – Igbo-Etche Road Friday revealed how Secondus collected approximately N48 billion on several road projects, including the Unity Road leading to Andoni and the Akpajo Road.
“I know he will claim that he only nominated the contractor”, the Governor said while dismissing claims by Secondus that he made him Governor.
He insisted that the former National Chairman whose membership of the party would be determined in October 2023 by the Supreme Court was not his benefactor in politics.
He noted that for Secondus to claim he made him Governor, he would have sponsored his election financially.
Wike challenged Secondus to prove if he spent any money of his own on him while he sought the governorship of the State.

“I gave him a lot of sugar”, Wike said of his relationship with Secondus, accusing him of diverting the arm of the Unity Road which should lead to Ngo, headquarters of Andoni Local Government Area to Ikuru Town.
Vowing that he would ensure that the Unity Road gets to Ngo before the end of his tenure, Wike said he was glad he was able to thwart the plan by Secondus to impose his nephew on Rivers people, using his position as National Chairman of the PDP.
Governor Wike paid tribute to the Nsirims of Rumueme, Senator John Mbata who hails from Eneka and the Odilis for actively pioneering his political growth.
He said he owed them enormous gratitude for their roles at different times to ensure that he emerged at the political centre stage.
Turning to the crisis in the PDP and steps that would be taken, Wike inferred, “Whatever decision that we take, we will let you know”, saying there was no way he could proceed on his political journey without consultation.

Challenging those who are drumming up support for his exclusion from the PDP , Wike declared, “You say you will sack me, go ahead, try and see how you will survive it.”
The Governor disclosed that the G5 has taken a principled position on the issue of a Southern chairman, stressing that the stance of the G5 is “non negotiable”.
On the purported interview that he granted while in the United Kingdom, Wike wondered how those who peddling falsehood have been unable to produce video evidence of his encounter with the BBC
