Kamala Harris, Vice President of the United States now presumptive candidate  of the Democratic Party. It will be the second time a woman would be taking on Donald J. Trump of the Republican Party.

The Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris who is heavily favoured by most Democrats to give former President Donald Trump a fight his money has emerged as the “presumptive candidate” of the Democratic Party, DNC.

According to information emanating from the Democratic Party, Harris who hit the trail after replacing President Joe Biden as the party’s candidate has secured the minimum number of delegates required to put her in good stead to take her place in history as the presidential candidate at the DNC convention.

There is no evidence that Harris will encounter any opposition from challengers within the party when Democrats meet to endorse their frontrunner.

Most, including state governors and senators believed to have their eyes on the party’s presidential ticket, have since endorsed her.

Recall that Biden quit the race a few days ago and quickly endorsed the Vice President for the top job.

The emergence of the former Californian Attorney General and US Senator is changing the dynamics of the presidential race billed for November.

VP Harris declares she knows “Trump’s type”, an indication that scams involving the Republican candidate might find their way to the front burner on the route to the presidential elections in November.

Harris has brought a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm to the table and rekindled the hope of most women who under American law want access to reproductive freedom while more than 30,000 volunteers have enlisted support for the candidate in less than one week.

The opinion polls, a serious factor in assessing the popularity of candidates in the US, indicate that Harris is running neck to neck currently with Trump who had earlier established a lead over Biden.

The Vice President who was in Winsconsin Tuesday on the campaign trail has grossed about $80 million dollars in contributions from donors since stepping into the race.

After Senator Hilary Clinton, VP Harris would become the second female presidential candidate on the platform of the Democratic Party to face Donald Trump of the Republican Party.

While Hilary, a Latino and wife of President Bill Clinton won the popular vote cast by the American people, Trump had an overriding edge at the electoral college.

Should Harris triumph over Trump in November, she would be the first woman to become US president and the second black after Barak Obama to occupy the White House.
