A former foreign affairs Minister, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi says the momentum being built by the Bola Tinubu administration has propelled Nigeria back to the center stage.
The professor, proponent of the “Black bomb” in his hey days as Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs who spoke on Arise Television Friday morning said, “Nigeria is back”.
He noted that President Tinubu who attended a summit in France organized to talk about investments in Africa has succeeded through his measured strides in focusing intense global attention on Nigeria.
The former Foreign Affairs Minister expressed satisfaction with the interest that foreign investors are indicating in the national economy.

Akinyemi lauded the Federal Government for taking steps to reposition the country and lampooned the poorly scripted plan to intervene in the Russia- Ukraine conflict by persons he described as ego seeking African leaders.
But, he said that financial institutions controlled by the West such as the IMF and the World Bank have to be rejigged to accommodate economic realities and the interest of emerging nations.
He called for the introduction of global regulations under the banner of the United Nations in order to ensure the proper and efficient management of potentials offered by oceans and the surrounding seas.
According to him, the recourse to the management of such resources under national flags has led to abuses in the oceanic space by powerful countries and caused the occurences of incidents like the implosion of the submerged vessel which claimed five lives.
While he expressed his condolences to the family of the deceased, Prof. Akinyemi hinted that nothing would halt man’s adventurist tendencies.
Akinyemi noted that man’s appetite for adventure has often resulted in his knack for the exploration of the moon and other planets and what nature has placed below the waters.
