Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has ordered the dissolution of the State Executive Council.
The order takes immediate effect.
A Government statement issued on a Tuesday and signed by Kelvin Ebiri, Special Assistant to the Governor on Media also disclosed that the Chief of Staff as well as the Senior Special Assistant have been relived of their appointments.
The statement directed the outgoing members of the State Executive Council to
handover to the most senior officials in their ministries.
The added, “His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, commends the members the Rivers State Executive Council for their service and contribution to the development of the State. He has also wished them the best in all their future endeavours.”
