I told you so, Wike says as El-Rufai arrives at the last bus stop

Governor Nasir El-Rufai may have come up with what many are describing at this time as startling revelations about the political maneuvers that are happening within the nation’s Presidency, Governor Wike who blew the whistle first seems to have been vindicated.
Wike had warned the nation last year that there was someone deeply rooted in the Presidential Villa who was working hands in gloves with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to ensure his victory at the forthcoming presidential poll.
Now, the cat is out of the bag. Nasir El-Rufai, Governor of Kaduna State a few days ago disclosed that there are indeed people in the Presidency who are determined to ensure that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential flagbearer of the APC fails.
He said that trouble started on the road to the National Convention of the APC when Tinubu decided to vie for the Presidential ticket.
Inspite of their manipulation, Tinubu outwitted, beating all comers in the presidential race by a wide margin.
El-Rufai who spoke on Channels Television said that he had hoped that after the emergence of a presidential candidate, that those who swore to bring Tinubu would shelve their grievances in the interest of the APC.
The Kaduna State Governor revealed that the anti-Tinubu forces in the Presidency are fully aligned with Atiku in order to guarantee the election of a Northerner who will take over from Buhari.
Speaking in Okrika, Governor Wike said recent events has vindicated him over his initial public statement that the PDP presidential candidate had strong allies in the Presidential Villa.
He recalled that Atiku and his supporters boasted that they did not need the G-5 governors to win the presidential election.

The reason, he disclosed, was because they had been assured of victory by a cabal in the presidency.
“I said they have been given assurance”, Governor Wike hinted, “but this election is not going to be based on that cabal assurance. It is on the people’s assurance.”
No matter what PDP leaders who support Atiku think, Governor Wike insisted that here time will be up if they believe for a moment that they will not need Rivers State.
They will still need Rivers State to win or they will lose the election, the governor predicted.
According to him, “whether you like it or not, you must need Rivers State. If you don’t need Rivers State you must fail. If you say you don’t want us, you’ll fail. There is no two ways about it.”
