Children of Satan angry – Wike
By PHC Telegraph

Rt. Rotimi Amaechi stirs the hornest nest, wonders what Rivers people and their leaders who are celebrating Wike are rejoicing about.

Governor Nyesom Wike has revealed that some persons who are like “Children of Satan” are unhappy with the extent of progress that is being recorded in the State.

Wike who responded to charades launched at him by a former Minister of Transportation, Rt Rotimi Amaechi, said it was shameful that the former Governor would pretend not to know why Rivers people are rejoicing.

Stressing that he also built flyovers during, Amaechi had wondered why Wike and the people of the State are celebrating when he recently chose to poke his fingers in Wike’s face.

Amaechi spoke on that occasion in support of his party and the candidates that are being rejected by courts of first instance for infractions on the Nigerian Constitution and the Electoral Act.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Rukpakwolusi-Eliogbolo community New Layout Road on Saturday,  Wike said Rivers people were celebrating “reality.”

Natives roll out their masquerades and dance with joy as Wike commissions six kilometres of internal roads in their New Layout.

“The Childtren of Satan are not happy”, Wike said in reaction to the comments credited to his predecessor.

He accused the leader of the APC in Rivers State of allegedly stripping the State of much needed funds, and selling state assets.

The Governor said it was by the grace of God that Rivers State is rapidly developing despite the schemes which were inspired by the last administration to deny the Rivers people of a chance to develop under his watch.

According to Wike,  it is time Amaechi realised that he is not God.

He said because God ordained his administration, He has made it possible for the government to find funds with which to raise a State of great infrastructural development.

In it eight years, the Amaechi administration is credited with building or completing five flyovers, according to a fact check conducted by the Telegraph.

They are the Eleme interchange, the Eliozu flyover and the Ikwerre Road flyover began by Celestine Omehia whovin the eyes of the law was not a governor of Rivers State.

Others are the Obiri Ikwerre flyover, the Rumuwoji flyover.

Comparatively, Wike has provided 12 new flyovers in seven years.

Of this number, nine have been delivered and commissioned while three are currently under construction.

Wike chided Amaechi for repeatedly lying and deceiving Rivers people.

He recalled Amaechi promised a University of Transportation, a deep seaport and railway services to his own state and never delivered them.

He said Amaechi promised to build the Sakpenwa Road and never did. He said his administration has not only built the Sakpenwa Road, it has dualised it up to Kono.

Wike said his administration has been able to complete the construction of the Unity Road up to Opobo while work is still ongoing in Andoni area.

Also to be delivered is the Chokocho – Igbodo Road which the Amaechi administration promised but could not deliver.

He said he had provided Amaechi with a road to his house and a school for the education of children in his own backyard.

Responding to claims by the former Governor that he is busy acquiring property, Wike said it was good to own property instead of allegedly “destroying homes”

Also speaking, OCJ Okocha, SAN, thanked the Governor for the development strides initiated by his administration.

He said that his people will continue to appreciate the good things Wike  has done for them.
