Governor Nyesom Wike says he has fulfilled pre-election promises made to Rivers people and indigenes of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area.

Addressing crowds of party supporters at the Felix Obuah Pavilion at Omoku, Wike remarked that projects he met on ground have been  completed.

He said an ongoing road project would be finished before the forthcoming general  election takes place.

Governor Wike agreed with his successor that Omoku, headquarters of ONELGA would be turned into a gas hub.

He disclosed that Rivers State is ready for business, saying that the infrastructure provided by his administration was intended to further raise the level of development and progress.

Saying the PDP has always kept its promises, Wike said Rivers people would not give power to enemies who are only interested in the exploitation of its potentials.

Governor Nyesom Wike arrived the campaign ground a little bit after 2pm and walked straight into the warm embrace of the Chiefs, elders and people who turned out to welcome leaders of the PDP.

Incidentally,  ONELGA is the home base of Professor Ngozi Odu,  Deputy Governorship candidate as well as that of the Director General of the Rivers State PDP Campaign Council, Chief Felix Obuah.

On arrival,  Governor Wike accompanied by the PDP flagbearer,  Siminalayi Fubara and other dignitaries paid a visit to the Palace of the Oba of Ogbaland.

Details of their conversation are not immediately available,  but we have heard that Governor Wike told his host that he was in the Palace to pay homage.

He equally told the royal father that he was in his domain to flag off the campaign of the PDP.

We have equally heard that Wike’s successor was honoured with a chieftancy title.

ONELGA was the first stop of the PDP which announced last week it would campaign in all Local Government Areas of the Rivers State.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 17t<span;>h January, Wike who is leading the Rivers PDP campaign would be in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
