Adoki Bids Mum Farewell

All roads around Rivers State yesterday led to Okrika where Mrs. Hannah Asikiye – Ofori Adoki, mother of the member representing Port Harcourt Constituency II in the State House of Assembly, Tonye Smart Adoki, was laid to rest.
The burial attracted many dignitaries as well as close friends of the Adokis among who were the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory and former Governor of the State, Chief Nyesom Wike.
Others included the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Martins Amaewhule, members of the House, traditional rulers and clergy men.
Delivering his condolence speech, Speaker Amaewhule prayed that God will grant members of the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He urged the family to take solace in the fact that their matriarch, late Mrs Hannah Asikiye-ofori Adoki lived a fulfilled life and astutely contributed in community affairs.
Amaewhule acknowledged that the deceased would be missed by her loved ones as well as the community, and prayed to God to grant her soul eternal rest.
The Telegraph understands that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory also expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
We have equally learnt that the Minister may depart Port Harcourt today for Abuja.
