Developing Story: Assembly Clears Fubara’s Commissioners
… Asks Them To Take A Bow

The Rivers State House of Assem-bly has success-fully screen-ed nine persons whose names were forwarded to it by Governor Siminalayi Fubara as new members of the State Executive Council.
Reports reaching our news desk suggest the nine nominees were asked by lawmakers to take a bow and leave the chamber.
The House, as tradition demands, would formally write the Governor to intimate him of the outcome of the screening exercise.
It will be the second time the House of Assembly will screen the nine commissioners who resigned fro their positions enmasse, following the political crisis that erupted in the State.
No date has so far been set for the swearing in ceremony of the new members of the State Executive Council.
As democratic tradition also allows, the Governor has the discretion to choose when he will swear in the new commissioners.
