The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barrister Nyesom Wike  has attributed the giant strides that are taking place in Abuja to the massive support that he is receiving from President Bola Tinubu.

Wike who attended a thanksgiving service in Koroma-Tai in the Tai Local Government Area emphasized that President Tinubu has good intentions for the country and urged the Nigerian people to give him time to fix national problems.

He said  it would amount to a miracle if all the teething problems that are confronting the nation could be solved by the present government within a couple of months in power.

The Minister noted that many are excited by the work that is going on in Abuja, but he disclosed that without the backing of Mr. President, the extent of progress that is being registered would be impossible.

Speaking in Pidgin English, Wike stated, “Monkey Smart, monkey Smart, na b’cos tree near tree”.

It was an apparent reference by Wike to the strong support that President Tinubu has extended to the Federal Capital Territory Authority  under his watch as the Minister.

The Minister lashed out at State Governors who praised the President, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for not interfering in anyway with electoral matters in court.

The former Governor of Rivers State said all hands should be on deck to ensure that efforts to rejuvenate the nation’s ailing economy works.

He expressed gratitude to God and lauded Senator Mpigi for acknowledging the place of the Creator in his political journey.

Wike who expressed optimism that the economy will rebound soon appealed to the Nigerian people to show more faith and understanding, stressing that the President requires the cooperation and collaboration of all in order to turn the economy around.
